Overcoming Stagnation-Moving on to Success
The pathway to success in any of life’s endeavour is not
always smooth. It is not uncommon to run into pitfalls and roadblocks, and
without the necessary know-how or knowledge of how to overcome these obstacles
people become stagnated. Success is a journey that has no particular endpoint
since success is not final; you only have what I call brief stop over along the
pathway of success. At these points which are in actual facts various goals
achieved, you only rest for awhile, refresh and then move on towards greater
goals. But on the other hand, stagnation is when you’re forced to stop before
you get to your next target stop over point; it could also be your own seemly
personal inability to move on after you get to one stop point. You have
achieved some goals but just can’t go beyond that point. The individual
concerned maybe said to have gotten into a rut.
The point of stagnation is the point where most quitters
quit. They have been overwhelmed by the situation and made to believe that there
is no way forward. But on the other hand, winners just know that there must be
a way forward and that makes them go on to find their way out of the stagnation
or rut. A close observation of these winners reveal to us the following winning
traits in them with which they overcome the forces of stagnation:
They Maintain a Positive attitude;
Success or failure is most times determined by how people
react to whatever negative circumstances they run into. In order to overcome
stagnation and win, you must react to negative circumstances positively. Learn
to see every challenge that comes your way as an opportunity to distinguish
yourself. By adopting this kind of attitude you receive a fresh supply of
energy and enthusiasm from within that helps you attack the roadblocks with
renewed determination to over run it.
Identify the Problem Correctly;
The major challenge or problem that people face that
actually stagnates them is the problem of ignorance; a lack of knowledge of the
way to get past whatever is holding you down. You need to first identify what
is holding you down and then go for adequate knowledge or light by feeding your
mind with relevant books authored by people who have attained what you’re
currently pursuing. Attend seminars or listen to great teachers or preachers.
For example some one may be stagnated in business because he lacks the
marketing skill of his goods and services and he may think his challenge is a
lack of adequate capital. In this case no matter how much you put into the
business it will not come out of that rut.
They have Hatred for Idleness;
Succeeding in life is not for the idle. When your love
idleness you would unconsciously be glad that you’re stagnated and you would
make little or no effort to come out of it. You must hate idleness with a
passion and resist every temptation that wants to make you remain in your
comfort zone. Know that every event is an invention! Don’t allow
procrastination deprive you from taking any necessary action.
Aim to actualize your dreams and do not stop or allow
yourself to be stopped until you receive your crown or have your aspirations
met. You could get past any obstacle by either finding a way through it, or
around it or above it. The only one that you cannot get past when he stands on
your way is God; and God resists only the proud. The remedy for this is to
humble yourself before him and he’ll give you grace to move on. Grace means
God’s help.
After trying hard take time to relax so that you can
re-fire. Stay success motivated Always!
