Living on Purpose
Your life’s purpose simply put is what you intend to achieve
with your life. Your life is your time here on earth primarily and it could
still be speaking several years after you may have passed on; depending on how
you lived it. finding success could be elusive to those who do not have a clear
life’s purpose; let us carefully examine some of the core benefits of having
your life’s purpose clearly defined or in other words stating clearly or
knowing clearly what you intend to achieve with your life.
v
Purpose gives you motion: no one who has their
life’s purpose clearly defined would sit still watching life or time go by them.
They’re compelled to move since they are compelled to move since they have a
great sense of duty always. Idleness most times is caused by lack of not
knowing what to do with your time. A man of purpose come rain or shine would
strive to be at their duty posts working to attain their life’s ultimate
purpose.
v
Purpose makes you resourceful: Resourcefulness
is the ability to find out clever ways of beating or going over barriers. Clear
intentions makes you see usefulness or solutions in objects, situations or
places that others may not notice such.
v
Purpose forces you to develop a roadmap:
People moving with a definite intention
or purpose in life most times are their own pathfinders. Pioneering involves
creating a success pathway for yourself; great inventors in most fields of
human endeavour are usually men and women of a fixed purpose.
v
Purpose helps you identify a distraction even
when its still far off: like a cook preparing a particular kind of meal; he or
she knows the recipe and they purposely avoid what edible things that will not
enhance the particular taste they intend to get. Living purposely helps you
avoid unwanted distractions.
v
Living purposefully gives you a sense of
fulfillment: peace and fulfillment is most important in life. Many have
attained success some how but do not really feel fulfilled; this most times is
caused by living your life to satisfy someone else’s purpose or desire. Most times happy couples
are those ones whose lives complement each other in their pursuit.
v
Purpose helps you know what you have achieved
per time: finding success in life is never about drifting through life.
Drifters hardly achieve anything meaningful but those living on purpose have
sub-goals that they work towards per time and they make sure they complete it.
Knowing that you are on course gives you more impetus to pursue more
vigorously. And on the other hand knowing that you’re not making progress will
move you to take a critical look at your approach and make the necessary
changes.
v
Purpose makes it easy for you to attract vision
helpers: no vision succeeds without people. When people understand the purpose
you are trying to attain, some may lend a helping hand knowing that they would
benefit from it directly or indirectly. Have you identified your life’s purpose
yet? Why don’t you sit down today and write down what good thing you intend to
achieve with your life? I see you succeeding!
