Every one grows into success. No one is born successful. Success thrust upon people turns them into failures since they don’t have what it takes to sustain such success.

Everyone born into this earth came in  as a stark naked infant; toothless. Some even came in with physical defects. But with time people begin to emerge either as successes or failures depending largely on the choices that they made in their journey of life. To develop anything means to make that thing more usable or profitable. Everyone is born with a kind of inherent gift or the other according to the purpose or assignment God ordained for them to carry out in life

Personal development means to take definite steps to change yourself. Depending on what you intend to succeed at, you must remove unwanted qualities from your life and then sharpen the dull or blunt skills you possess that would enhance the actualisation of your desire. Just as anyone who aspires to succeed in athletics would take time to engage in all kinds of weight training or endurance training so you must take the pains in developing yourself into that shrewd businessman or woman you intend to become for example. When you read books or listen to audio materials produced by people who have succeeded in the field that you are aspiring to succeed at, you discover how they have trained their minds to work and you wisely adapt the same.
v     Through personal development you change your habit. Habits normally make or mar people, but by just developing new study habits for example an erstwhile failing student becomes a success. This could be applied to every area of life.
v     Personal development also involves changing your belief system. What you intensely belief in may eventually become your personal experience. Superstitious beliefs have marred many people’s destiny.
v     Personal development also involves learning to use or improve your ideas wisely. Ideas are like raw materials that need to be taken through several stages before the finished product comes out.
