Necessities for fulfilling Destiny: (1) Pursuit

The pursuit of a dream or purpose is the act of taking tangible and necessary steps towards the realization of the objective or goal. No matter how good the plan is, when no action is taken to materialize it, it still remains a mere waste of time and paper. No matter how lofty your purpose or idealized dreams are, when they are not pursued they must surely die.

To pursue any purpose means to see to it that your plans see the light of day. No matter how good the manuscript of your proposed book is, for example, if it is not published it can never be a bestseller. The major reasons or the hidden factors that have been robbing many people blind of their successes in life includes:

v     Excuses: many people are fond of giving excuses and explaining away their lack of pursuit or inaction. No excuse or contrary reason is strong enough to keep a man or woman who is genuinely passionate about their life’s purpose from taking the required steps. Many who never had the opportunities in life to receive formal education when they were younger found a way to go back to school or train informally so as to be qualified to pursue the profession of their choice. Dogged determination and self-discipline are two necessary characteristics of those who are able to pursue their dream. Even if no one encourages you, you must encourage yourself.
v     Procrastination: I personally see procrastination as laziness in disguise. Some keep thinking that the time to launch out on their dream or purpose is not ripe and yet they are getting older by the day. Achievers are familiar with the steps needed to actualize their dreams; and they are start-up, continuity and completion or finishing. Each of this stage tests every achiever’s tenacity and determination to achieve.
v     Make use of the facts gathered: except you put the facts or knowledge you have gathered to work, don’t expect any progress or any prize. Only players in any game receive a prize or reward when the team wins any game. The spectators already have theirs; which is the thrill or fun of seeing others play.
v     Work Your plans: to succeed you must be willing to take responsibility. And  this means to work. People don’t just wake up to pluck up the fruit of success from somewhere. They start most times from tending and cultivating their garden; do the right and necessary things over time before they arrive at their successes
